Industry experience
Vasilis has accumulated more than 19 years’ professional experience in the Greek Insurance industry, serving various roles including CRO for ING Greece, Chief Bancassurance Officer for National Insurance Company and Head of actuarial services for Deloitte & Touche Greece. As of 2016, he is the Managing Director of Lux Actuaries & Consultants in Greece, an independent actuarial consultancy firm with offices in Greece, Cyprus, UK, Turkey, Bahrain, UAE, India and Mexico.
Vasilis has extensive experience in various areas relevant to Actuarial and Risk Management, both from an insurance and consultancy perspective. He has also led on numerous actuarial audit engagements.
He is acting as Head Actuary and Chief Risk Officer in various insurance companies and Occupational Schemes in Greece.
He has been technical speaker at various insurance industry conferences in Greece.
Education and certifications
Vasilis is a Mathematician and a Fellow of the Hellenic Actuarial Society. Over his professional career, he attended numerous of technical and managerial training courses.
As of 2017, he is a BoD member of the Hellenic Actuarial Society and oversees the Educational activities of the Society.
